BIOGRAPHY

Internationally acclaimed English soprano Fiona Tanner Baldwin has enthralled audiences the world over.

Over the past twenty years Fiona has set the musical realms of corporate entertainment and street opera/theatre alight with her seductive vocal dexterity and captivating interpretations of some of Opera’s finest roles. From the manuscripts of Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini and Donizetti, Fiona has enthralled audiences the world over with her unique portrayal of characters such as Fiordiligi, Rosina, La Contessa, Adina, Violetta, Mimì, Norina, Pamina and Madama Butterfly.

As a much loved and respected entertainer, Fiona has delighted many high-profile clients, such as the King of Jordan, Elton John, Matthew Parris, Aldo Zilli, and Placido Domingo, with her exquisite voice and effervescent personality. Drawing from an extensive repertoire that spans the Classical, Romantic, Contemporary and Musical Theatre divides, Fiona is a truly versatile musical artist.

A former graduate of City University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Fiona has carved a hugely successful career as a musical entrepreneur. Inspired by a deep passion for opera and an unstoppable desire to share the magic of the genre with all, Fiona founded Garden Opera together with Jane Haughton in 1994 and Oyster Opera in 2001. Ever devoted to refining her instrument, Fiona currently studies with David Pollard.

Fiona has received invitations to perform at a myriad of events across the globe, ranging from intimate gatherings to balls, fashion shows, awards ceremonies, and festivals. Recent notable appearances include the European Space Agency (Frankfurt), Houses of Parliament (London), International Kite Festival (Singapore), the Orient Express, and Le Festival PicNic (France).
